This is a glicee print of the original drawing, “Uncle Tom”, by Lindsay Ladner. It is printed on natural cotton rag, with a ½ inch border, and is signed.
The original “Uncle Tom” is a pen and graphite drawing that features some highlights and flicks of color using colored pencil. The main focus is a strutting tom turkey. The nested illustration, similar to a remark, features a harem of hens - assumably on the search for tom gobbling in the distance.
